Working Together to Grow Your Business

The Philippines provides an ideal business process outsourcing destination because of its cultural affinity with the West, the strong English language skills of Philippine staff, and its solid political, business and technical infrastructure; not to mention its low costs.

These factors have led to the rapid expansion of the Philippine BPO industry and a corresponding rise in the number of BPO companies and other firms providing various forms of offshore staffing. Once the decision to outsource has been made it is vital to undertake due diligence and speak at length with potential offshoring partners in order to find the perfect fit.

Topnotch Outsourcing Company Makes Your Business Grow

After typing in the words that would describe what the Internet user is looking for, the search engine will then come up with a list. This is a rundown of the websites that are most likely to have the data that the Internet user is looking for. And here’s the reality: out of all the sites listed by the search engine, a typical Web user would only just click on the site that’s on top of the list. There are some that would try the other websites – mostly the next two on the list – but the rest on search engine list have very little chance of getting a site visit.

That’s why it is important that your company website lands on top of search engine lists. This maximizes the opportunities and chances for sales leads. The more site visits you get, the more Internet users get to know about the products or services that your company has to offer. The more eyeballs, the more chances of getting sales or sales leads. An outsourcing company makes it its business to know how to get your company on top of the search engine list – using a number of proven strategies, best practices  as well as the new ones  that work with the new rules of search engines particularly Google.

A topnotch outsourcing company, of course, should not only be able to make this happen but also make this result consistent. Your company can’t just land on top of the list one week and then be way down on the list the following week. If that happens, you should seriously consider changing service providers.

BPO Companies Philippines: Continuing to Post Positive Growth

Here is what will drive the continued success of BPO companies in the Philippines: talent development. This is according to Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) director Rainerio “Bong” Borja. According to Borja, the target revenue of the Philippines’ business process outsourcing (BPO) industry from now until 2015 is of $26 B. The earnings projection is actually $ 1 billion more than the previous industry estimate and is twice the estimated revenue for this year.

Borja said that the Business Processing Association of the Philippines will focus on talent development to help the business process outsourcing industry achieve its target revenue. What will surely help with this goal is the training fund from the government. The more than P1 billion training fund is for developing the skills – with the help of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) – of potential business process outsourcing employees.

The Business Processing Association of the Philippines director added that the business process outsourcing sector is indeed expanding from call centers or voice services into non voice services. He added that one of the most important factors helping the growth of BPO companies in the Philippines is the considerable pool of highly skilled workers that are not only good English speakers but also proficient in other technical areas.

Philippine Outsourcing: The Industry’s Advantages

Most reports would indicate that Philippine outsourcing is indeed moving from mostly voice services and now further expanding to complex services and other non voice services.

Maturation of the Industry

This development, also described by some as the maturation of the industry, is the same path taken by India. The Philippines has in fact already overtaken India in voice services – as announced by a New York Times article that named the Philippines as the “call center capital of the world.” And the country has also emerged as second only to India when it comes to complex services and non voice services.

Strong education and language skills – Farhan Faruqui, Citi, Asia-Pacific’s head of global banking said in an exclusive interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer – are among the factors helping move the Philippine outsourcing sector to higher value added knowledge process outsourcing. The Citigroup official also mentioned that the Philippines, despite the decrease in global investment caused by the Eurozone crisis, remains as a vibrant marketplace for raising capital and merger and acquisition (M & A).

The non voice sub sector of Philippine outsourcing in particular – specifically software services, software development, web design, some aspects of global healthcare outsourcing, composition, typesetting, graphic design, animation, desktop publishing, legal services and shared services – is showing tremendous growth.

Finding the Best Outsourcing IT Companies

Service providers or outsourcing IT companies provide a way for businesses to get the job done through the most cost effective solutions. An outsourcing company is a third party firm, also called a service provider, which can manage processes that are part of your business. Almost any aspect of the business can be outsourced, including billing, payroll, data entry, graphic design, collections, customer support, accounting and animation.

Outsourcing can not only help companies save on costs, employee hours, supply purchases, equipment purchases, resources and at the same time free themselves of the hassles of doing tasks that are not part of the core business or competency.

To achieve these desired results however, you need to look for service providers or outsourcing IT companies that can help your business function minus the hassles of frequent technical glitches.

Other benefits of having a third party handle your company’s IT requirements include:
* As with outsourcing other tasks, outsourcing your IT requirements lets you and your staff focus on your core business and what you can do to become even more competitive. These are activities such as product launches, improving sales, and improving processes.
* You can be as specific and focused on the core business as you want. You may, for example, spend more energy and time on strengthening relationships with clients, on increasing profit, improving production, finding new clients, and other similar tasks.

* Hiring service providers or outsourcing IT companies also lets you skip the worries on technical issues that affect the company’s infrastructure. A reliable, topnotch third party or service provider will do the worrying and solving for you.

BPO Philippines :Contributing to Growth

The outlook for the Philippine economy continues to be positive thanks to the continued success of several BPO Companies in  Philippines. The expansion in the services industry, which includes BPO Philippines; the recovery of the manufacturing sector, particularly the food production sub-sector; and benign inflation are some of the reasons the country posted 6.4 percent growth in 2012’s first quarter. This is according to the report from the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

This Q1 figure is even more impressive when you add the fact that this comes second only to China, which showed economic growth of 8.1 percent in the first quarter. The Philippines’ 6.4 percent growth for Q1 is the highest among Association Southeast Asian Nations’ (Asean) member-states. The NEDA further said that the Q1 gross domestic product (GDP) has exceeded what analysts expected, which was at 4.8 percent; and that the Philippine economy is expected to continue to post impressive figures through the succeeding quarters of 2012, meeting or exceeding the government’s growth targets.
Becoming Even More of a BPO Powerhouse

Just a decade ago, BPO Philippines was far from being one of the major players in the industry, But now, BPO companies in the Philippines have become globally competitive.
BPO Philippines is growing not just in the voice sub sector but also for other services like graphic design, web design, software development, animation, desktop publishing, composition, typesetting, shared services and legal services. For the software services sub-sector, the PSIA said that the areas that have a vast potential for growth this year are remote infrastructure services, support, maintenance, and application enhancement. And even with the diminished global investment due to the crisis in Europe, according to a top official of Citigroup Asia-Pacific, the Philippines continues to emerge as a vibrant marketplace for M & A (merger and acquisition) and raising capital. And th outlook Farhan Faruqui, Citi, Asia-Pacific’s head of global banking further said in an exclusive interview with broadsheet Philippine Daily Inquirer that because of strong education and language skills, the Philippines’ BPO industry will move to higher value added knowledge process outsourcing.

Statistics shows the continues positive growth of BPO Philippines and Outsource Software Development Services sector.
